Microneedling is a medical spa treatment that uses a device with fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. These micro-injuries stimulate the body's natural wound healing process. Here at Amore Medical, we use a combination approach of microneedling and small injections into the scalp with PRP and natural biologics. A small amount of blood is drawn from the patient and then placed in a centrifuge to isolate the platelet-rich plasma. Then a topical anesthetic is applied to the scalp and left to activate for approximately 30 minutes to decrease discomfort, after which the treatment is administered. The overall procedure time (including microneedling and injections) is 20 to 30 minutes, with zero downtime afterward.

Good candidates for hair restoration are individuals in need of regenerative medicine to correct hair loss and/or hair thinning. Treatment is most effective for individuals with mild to moderate hair loss or thinning. Ideal candidates have stable hair loss patterns, meaning their hair loss has not progressed rapidly over a short period.
